I strive to make my work come to life. I
want my figures to look as if they feel emotions and could walk right
off their pedestal. I have spent years studying anatomy and sculpture so
I can more accurately render the human figure in all of its many
gestures and expressions. This work pays off as the Art Collector
connects emotionally or spiritually with my work because of the life I
have given it. |

Clever, funny, whimsical, interesting are
some of the adjectives used to describe my assemblage art. Some of it I
find hilarious, if I say so myself. I walk away giggling. Some pieces
are magical with hidden meanings. Some have non-prescribed meaning,
they're just fun. They make me happy and inspire me. I hope they inspire
you and change your life like assemblages have changed mine. |

I have been carving, drawing, wood burning
and painting for 20 years. Most of my moose antler carvings are custom
pieces which I love as it allows me to take what the customer loves and
do something new and unique for that person. One of my carvings have
been reproduced and reproductions are sold across America. I am
currently selling the original, piece on my website. Custom orders
welcome. |

I am absolutely captivated by the radiant
beauty of melted colored glass fused to metal. I discovered enameling as
a powerful medium for artistic expression because of it s limitless
potential for experimentation and sometimes unpredictable results.
Rather than focusing completely on the initial motivation, I am actively
responsive and passively open to the unexpected. I feel that working
with enamel in this way is creating an exciting and evolving journey for
myself. |

I have been dive bombed by red-winged
black birds, almost drove off the road watching a bald eagle fish on
the Clearwater, watched a raft of mergansers attack a school of
fish, and was stared down by a barn owl. I try to incorporate those
experiences into my wood carvings so that the beauty and excitement
of the outdoors can be brought into someone's home. |

I specialize in highly detailed; hand
carved and painted bird sculptures. These are one of a kind
originals carved one bird at a time. There is no mass production.
Commissions are accepted for any species. I have focused most of my
carving skill and focus in that direction. I spend great deal of
time in research and anatomy to ensure that my carved birds are as
close to realistic as I can. |
