Growing up in Idaho, Michael Woodland is no stranger to the life of a cowboy. Woodland Bronze captures the ranching and farming tradition he knows. With 25 years experience as a packer, ranch hand, and guide, Michael is able to express first hand life stories with breath taking scenery through his art work. From start to finish each piece is hand sculpted and cast by Michael. The "True West" is how he believes and it really shows through his artwork.

I strive for the feeling of a fluid shift in my work; a sense of grace and elemental music in the human form. Once revered and idolized as perfection, the miraculous workings of the human form have been cast away and shunned. My work seeks to requite the beauty and elegance of the human body in motion with the contemporary essence of our modern world.

Inspired by my travels and varied experiences, my sculptures are a reflection of personal and societal interpretations of nature and man’s interaction within the environment. As man becomes distanced from the natural world, I hope to capture a unique view of nature, where personal discovery becomes a focal point.

In the past I have worked in basketry and birch bark, I still create small art pieces using the birch bark, but my main work is with papier mache. I love how versatile it is, and that you can create so many wonderful things with it!

Highly detailed carved and painted bird sculptures. Lori sculpts any kind of bird from hummingbirds to eagles. She is also an author and teacher, having written numerous articles on bird carving for Woodcarving Illustrated, conducting workshops from her Saint Anthony studio and she has released a book, "Carving Award Winning Songbirds", published by Fox Chapel Publishing. She is currently collaborating with Fox Chapel and another artist, Denny Rogers, on a series of four reference books on birds of prey. Her work is in private collections in numerous states. I construct both wall and free-standing assemblage sculptures which are almost exclusively from found objects or perused materials. My process relies heavily on my intuitive sense of what is needed. I hope the viewer will find pleasure in the tactile appeal of the pieces, in their geometric tensions, and in the play of lines, angles, and arcs. I would like my art to be a catalyst for the viewer's own active imagination rather than stop at the boundaries of my own.
