My work is representational landscape work done in pastels and oils. I focus on the western landscape and work is done in both studio and plein air. I participate in numerous plein air events throughout the west and teach workshops in pastel.

Sarah Kohler grew up in a military family, moving every couple of years. She now lives & works in Meridian, Idaho. She found her passion for art at a young age. Her mother was an artist, so she spent her childhood surrounded by art, music & theatre. She is able to exercise control over the movement of her paint creating fluid & tranquil works of art rich with color and emotion.
