I have been painting in watercolor, oil, acrylics and encaustis for many years. Have studied in Rome, Italy and in Japan with the impressionists.

My paintings reflect rural life in the west. I use broad brush strokes and bright colors to breathe life into the subjects I paint. I paint in acrylic, oil, and water color.

I hope for a certain romance, contradiction and nostalgia in each painting. An insight into a private moment. A story in the middle of being told.
 

I create custom portraits, watercolor paintings, acrylic paintings, murals, drawings and graphic designs. I try to portray a vibrant love of life through bright colors in my paintings.

I am a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, but I live in Idaho because I enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Everywhere you look in northern Idaho, there is something to inspire an artist. At the Art Institute, I took a class that taught the fundamentals of painting with egg tempera, a technique developed by the Masters. Egg tempera is my favorite medium.
