My work stems from a desire to steer away from conventional realism. At the heart of my efforts is what is best described as the conscious act of grasping what is real and recognizable then transforming it into something else while retaining it's sense of identity. This world lies between the surreal world and the real world with sometimes a mythical sense of atmosphere.

I relocated back to Idaho from the south. I am working with the 4-h design team for the arts program. Would like to see more art in the schools for the youth of today. I have 2 yrs of college majoring in art. I do art for the release of stress and enjoyment. I experiment with all mediums. My work is mostly abstract and some still life. My sand paintings are of the native American culture. I do freelance work and plan on preparing a place for local artist to study and research all necessary materials to complete a body of artwork for adults and students in a way that gives people a way to express their emotions and a place to work. Art therapy is good for the soul and I would like to use this concept to help others work through their feelings and put their work on display.

I paint impressionistic landscapes in oil and oil pastel with my fingers using Winsor & Newton Oil bars. I also paint abstracts in mixed media. I do art shows and commissioned art sales and I teach private art lessons. I am also on the task force of the VineArts League at Vineyard Boise, an artist collaborative with the vision to encourage, minister to, & educate artists of all ages, genders, and skill levels. I desire God to be revealed through the art that I do. Thus the name of my business "REVELATORART".

I moved to Idaho from California in 1993. I am a self taught painter and I began painting in 1990. My paintings are oil and acrylics mostly of scenery.
