I am a native idahoan. My work is influenced by my life here in Idaho. I think of my life as a child growing up along the Snake river. I spent my summer days fishing, swimming, and exploring my environment. My work reflects nature in all it beauty and sometimes her cruelty. In my work is my mountains, my desert, my wetlands, my Idaho.

I am a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, but I live in Idaho because I enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Everywhere you look in northern Idaho, there is something to inspire an artist. At the Art Institute, I took a class that taught the fundamentals of painting with egg tempera, a technique developed by the Masters. Egg tempera is my favorite medium.
