Being
inspired by the past, present, future and those friends and family close
to my heart, I have begun my journey of re-acquainting myself to my
creative side. It has been a journey of losing myself....surviving
against many odds (just like many of you) and now emerging from a place
within where I am finding my expression. It was my mother who gave me
the desire to "treasure hunt". As a little girl she would drag my
siblings and I to swap meets, antique stores off country roads and
shopping districts in big cities off the beaten path. The spirit of
adventure and the thrill of the hunt was planted within. From the hunt
comes my creation I call "Urban Rosary". |

My inspiration comes from nature; as I work,
I look out to a green meadow and tree lined creek surrounded by flowers.
I love working with freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, Swarovski
crystals and unique beads that I find in my travels. Recently I've begun
to experiment with Silver Art Clay and fused glass and I LOVE the
surprises that occur. I am never sure exactly what will happen with any
one piece, so every time I open the kiln there is a surprise in store
for me! Sometimes it's a good one and sometimes not so much.... |

Raggy
Daggy Do is the name my Dad called me until his final day. He was a
great artist so to honor him and the inspiration he was to me I have
given my jewelry the name: Raggy Daggy Do-Dads.
My main focus is on beading - being partial to natural gemstones and
items found in nature such as shell, bone, and wood. I also use a lot of
Czech glass, Austrian crystal, Hill Tribes silver from Thailand, art
glass, and other quality materials. All of my pieces are one-of-a-kind
or very limited editions. Raggy Daggy Do-Dads are featured at the
National Oregon/California Trail Center in Montpelier, ID and are sold
at various venues throughout the west and on my website. |
